Luxury Mallorca Villa

London based Julia Palmer recently completed a luxury villa in Mallorca. The overall plot size of the property, including gardens, is 1350 sq m with the built area stretching 530 sq m (5,700 sq ft) across the plot, allowing the owners to enjoy the 180 degree over the bay throughout the day to sunset.

She defined the large double height space of the villa and reconfigure the bedroom arrangement and general arrangement of the villa. The existing space was tired with no defined spaces or grounding, which had dramatic architectural lighting highlighting the empty space. The south facing property suffered an in balance of light no windows on the north side of the property meant the light and magnificent view was so overpowering to the property the client was overwhelmed on how to compensate this drama. Convex mirrors and placement of fixtures and fittings were used to bounce the reflection of the architecture and light back across the space, bringing the outside in and the inside out.

Products and materials used included microcemento flooring laid throughout the property over under heating. Fixtures and fittings used from Roche Bobois, Louis Poulsen, Cattelan Italia, Kettel, Few & Far. Bespoke furniture, Bespoke upholstery, Bespoke light fixtures, bespoke fireplace using Eco Smart Fire and white glass lining – bespoke soft furnishings designed by JPD Interiors using Lelievre, Kenzo, JL Trousseau, Chase Erwin fabrics.

By using a contemporary neutral scheme with accents of colours reflecting the artwork & furniture as well as the colours of the Mediterranean to create a calm, elegant tranquil environment for a family to relax and enjoy. A fresh Mediterranean Contemporary style.
